savoury moments—Every sip, every bite is a fleeting moment—impossible to repeat exactly the same way. The clinking of glasses over dinner, the flicker of candlelight on a restaurant table, a half-empty plate, a hand reaching for the last bite. But also, the quiet moments beyond the table—a morning coffee in the city, a beer in the park, a stolen sip before heading somewhere else. These are savoury moments—not just filled with rich flavors, but with the kind of presence that makes them worth savoring. They are what I capture in my oil pastel drawings.
Like the moments themselves, my technique is spontaneous. Oil pastels allow for bold, expressive strokes that can never be recreated identically—similar, but never the same.
My process is intuitive, shaped by the energy of a place, the way the light falls, the feeling of being fully present. Textures emerge instinctively: the sheen of a wine-stained glass, the golden crust of fresh bread, the blurred warmth of candlelight, the lingering trace of a coffee ring.
This art line is my love letter to culinary moments, to the beauty of imperfection, and to the fleeting rituals that fill our days. I hope it invites you to notice these moments—to savor them, before they slip away.
